If the goal of the Tampa Innovation Alliance Kick-Off Luncheon was to generate interest and excitement about the alliance-mission accomplished! There was a definite buzz and excitement in the air at the kick-off luncheon regarding the great impact this organization will have on the area surrounding the University of South Florida. The event, held in the atrium of the USF Connect building, brought together local politicians, business owners and university officials in a unified commitment to improve the economic future of the area.

The recently created Tampa Innovation Alliance is an economic development organization focused on elevating the area around USF in order to brand the region as a vibrant community where business professionals and innovators want to live, work and visit. The alliance has already gained the partnership of four major regional anchors: The University of South Florida, Busch Gardens, Florida Hospital and Moffitt Cancer Center. Tampa Innovation Alliance Director, Mark Sharpe, wants the area to be globally recognized as economically thriving and as a hub for innovators. During his speech at the kick-off luncheon he underscored his commitment to the success of the newly formed Tampa Innovation Alliance.

The Tampa Innovation Alliance is dedicated to making an impact in the community and to #HelpingOurCity to grow and flourish. To follow how the Tampa Innovation Alliance is transforming the area around USF or to become a member visit www.tampainnovation.com.
