Tampa, Fla. – The University Area CDC and Tampa !p are seeking nominations for the 2018 University Area Community Impact Awards. These awards recognize outstanding organizations that have shown exemplary leadership by working together to build a cohesive community, serving as a model for advancing the University Area in a significant way.
The University Area Community Impact Awards were created to recognize and honor the vital role and commitment of our community partners, in collaboration to transform the University Area into a thriving, community-engaged Innovation District.
Nominees must be organizations (for or non-profit), that serve the University Area (zip codes 33612 and 33613). Self-nominations are accepted, but partners are also encouraged to nominate peer organizations.
Three awards will be given:
- The Creative Cooperation Award, focusing on partnerships and community
- Community Catalyst Award, focusing on start-up programs
- The Corporate Change-Maker Award, focusing on the business sector and those who demonstrate exceptional collaboration for the community’s benefit
Among other things, winners will receive up to 15 hours of marketing assistance in the creation of needed communications to allow them to further their mission and share project information.
